November 9, 2009 Recap & Highlights

Hundreds of rabid, screaming fans were ready to party as George hit the stage for the very first episode of "Lopez Tonight." George opened the show with what he does best -- some killer standup.

Then, Ellen DeGeneres -- apparently awakened by the loud party next-door -- made a surprise visit to drop off George's mail, which was accidentally delivered to her and included a really embarrassing personal item.

Next up was the audience game that everyone will be talking about.

Afterwards, George welcomed an "allegedly" blonde Eva Longoria Parker. After the two friends caught up, George convinced Eva to make good on a promise she made during the "Lopez Tonight" pilot... to dance on a stripper pole. And Eva wasn't the only one to work the pole...

Next up was Kobe Bryant, who explained why his trash-talking skills are a cut above the rest of the NBA. George opened the floor to audience questions, which included an ambush from teammate Derek Fisher, who totally stumped Kobe with his question.

The show closed with a mind-blowing performance of "Oye Como Va" and "The World is Rated X" by rock legend Carlos Santana (or as George calls him: "The Supernatural").

I admire and respect you for all you have accomplished and as a Mexican I feel proud of your success. I think you are a very intelligent and funny man. However, I think Mexican-Americans have developed a new culture based on the special circumstances they grew up in. I only wish you could take some time to visit Mexico and learn about the true Mexican culture and family unit.

George lovin the show!! But I was pissed when I heard you say that the 911 terrorists crossed the border from Canada that was bush propaganda. Why can't your politicians take the heat when something happens?Instead the finger gets pointed to the north and south...Anyway I wish you would clarify this because I'm sick of hearing it. The only time americans believe anything is if they hear it from a celeb (KIDDING)
